One More Week of HST-Relief

I managed to successfully navigate one week in January away from the cold and snow of Canada, to the tropical +2º of Amsterdam and northern Germany. Northern Europe has become a great market for us. In March I will be showcasing our wines at ProWein in Dusseldorf (most important wine show in the world), and a week later at the portfolio Spring tasting with our Dutch/Belgian importer.

While the relief from the snow, wind and cold was amazing, by far the highlight was the reception and enthusiasm from the top sommeliers about the quality of wines we produce here. We showcased our recently released 2021 County Pinot Noir and 2021 County Chardonnay – both rocking in at just 11.5% alcohol. These Michelin Star restaurant sommeliers couldn’t quite believe how much flavour, minerality, elegance and length we could achieve while keeping the wines under 12%.

There has been a significant rise in Canadian patriotism since the recent events south of the border. While you have not needed convincing that Canadian wines can shine in a global context, this is a great time to not only show your continued support but also encourage others that Canada makes world-class wines. I hope you will take the time to watch and share this short 90sec video I made on why we should drink more Canadian wines.
We have one more week of the HST/GST holiday (ends February 15) with a long winter still ahead of us. I encourage you to order online before it ends and enjoy our wines at home that are poured in over 40 Michelin Star restaurants across Europe, the U.K. and Japan.
There are no tariffs for our wines to cross provincial borders! ;) We deliver across Canada including Quebec, click here to order. Mixed cases are welcomed and free shipping is available. Never forget that eating local tastes better while drinking local.
Cheers and thank you from all of us at the winery. A big thank you to our summer team and our Thai field workers, all of whom are home right now and make a huge impact on our lives here.
Cheers,
Norm
